You're here because you want to be healthier and happier. We're here because we want the same for you.
That’s why we created A Healthier Happier Me. Our goal is to help marginalized communities take control of their health and happiness so that they can start living their life to its fullest potential. We know that sometimes your challenges feel insurmountable or that nobody understands your struggles. We want nothing more than for you to feel empowered by your own strengths and abilities so that together we can make a positive impact on our communities and our world.
What We Offer
About the Founder: Nita Landry, MD, FACOG
Our founder and president, Dr. Nita Landry, is a respected board-certified OB/GYN, sought-after speaker, author, and former co-host of the Emmy award-winning talk show ‘The Doctors’ for six seasons.
Raised amidst healthcare inequalities, Dr. Nita possesses firsthand knowledge of how these disparities can impact marginalized communities. However, her exposure to healthcare inequities doesn’t end there. After completing medical school, she served as a traveling doctor, working in diverse communities across the country. In this role, she witnessed stark differences in healthcare access and outcomes between those with resources and those facing barriers. From rural Alaskan Native American Reservations to esteemed institutions like the Mayo Clinic Health System, she observed the profound healthcare disparities prevalent in various cultural backgrounds.
It was these firsthand experiences that fueled the founding of our organization—a commitment to making a change and breaking the cycle of generational bad health. With determination rooted in real-world encounters, we’re driving forward, determined to shift the narrative and improve lives. In our journey, we’re not just dreaming of a healthier future; we’re actively working to make it a reality, one step at a time
In addition to direct patient care, Dr. Nita’s expertise and advocacy have been showcased on esteemed platforms like Good Morning America, The Today Show, and featured in publications such as Women’s Health and US News & World Report, solidifying her status as a distinguished thought leader in healthcare.

"I used to run only if I was being chased. And I used to think that kale was the enemy. Thanks to encouragement from A Healthier, Happier Me, I'm jogging for fun and loving it, and I actually have some kale recipes that I like (gasp!). Kudos! 😄🏃♂️🙌”
